SCES Motto: School + Community = Educational Success

As you know, the elementary school sustained significant damage from the hurricane.  The middle/high school sustained only minor damages as compared to the elementary school.  Construction companies are working overtime to get our buildings back in operational status.  A target date to return students to school has been set for November 5th.  Again, a target date to begin school has been set for November 5th.  More details will be provided in the days to come regarding the return-to-school  schedule.

12 month employees will return to work Monday the 22nd.  All other employees will return to work Wednesday the 24th to the middle/high school.

We realize there will be many inconveniences during this recovery period, but we appreciate your understanding.

GaDOE Parent Survey

Georgia Department of Education Parent Survey

The Georgia Parent Survey contains 24 questions and can be completed using personal computers, smartphones or iPads. (A Spanish version of the parent survey will be available soon.)  For parents that do not have access to the Internet, parents can sign on at the public library or you can contact the school’s office to set up a time to complete the Georgia Parent Survey at school.  All parents are encouraged to participate in the Georgia Parent Survey, because the data will be used to calculate the School Climate Star Rating.  Participation is not mandatory, but is highly encouraged.  Survey responses are anonymous and will be submitted directly to the Georgia Department of Education for analysis.  Data results from the Georgia Parent Survey will not be available to the public and will not be posted online.  The URL address for the Georgia Parent Survey is posted below.
