2019 School Climate Survey
Each year parents are asked to complete a survey concerning the activities within our school. It is that time of year again. This survey will be open until March 30th, 2018. Please contact the school at (229) 524-5235 with any questions. |
Georgia Milestones Parent Information
The Georgia Milestones is a state mandated test required by the Georgia Department of Education. Elementary students in Third, Fourth, and Fifth are required to take this assessment given in the Spring. Third and Fifth graders must take and pass the state designated subject areas as part of the Georgia promotion requirements. As well as successfully passing the Georgia Milestones, students will also have to pass their classroom academic subjects for the school year by the end of the second semester in order for promotion to occur. This requirement goes for grades First and Second, also. More information concerning the Georgia Milestones can be found on the Georgia Department of Education Website, as well as the sidebar on the SCES webpage. |
Volunteer Info
Anyone who wishes to volunteer or participate at SCES for a school or classroom event must have an updated background check on file at the office of the principal. This is in reference to any PTO activity, grade level field trip, classroom party, or any school event. Background checks must also be approved by the Board of Education before the Main Office at SCES will clear a volunteer to participate. ALL volunteers MUST sign up at the Board of Education before entering the school campus, too! Anyone wanting to volunteer for any PTO activity must also sign up with the current PTO president. Please contact the Board of Education at the North Annex for any questions regarding paperwork or information: 524-2433. Thanks for your cooperation and understanding!
